Conservation Grass Seeding

District's Grass Drill

To promote soil, water, and energy conservation practices, the Cass SCD offers a conservation grass seeding service. A 7 ft no-till grass drill is used to plant grass in small areas (< 20 acres). A few examples are pictured below.

The Cass Co. SCD technician will arrange planting schedules, transportation, calibration, and provide the planting service. The Cooperator shall provide the seed and make arrangements to have the seed on site. The Cooperator is responsible for a properly prepared seed bed. The Cooperator agrees NOT TO HOLD the Cass Co. SCD responsible for damage from chemicals or natural causes that could affect the grass stand.

Grass Seeding Price:

• $20 per acre
• $2.50 per 100 linear feet when planting between tree rows.
• (minimum charge of $100.00)
