Fabric Weed Barrier

fabric
Fabric weed barrier on new tree rows

Weed barrier fabric is placed around new tree rows to help prevent the growth of weeds. Prior to installing fabric, sites need to be tilled in an area at least 4 feet on either side of the tree row. This distance enables the tractor to lay fabric down and cover the edges with the loose dirt.

Once the weed barrier is installed, periodic maintenance needs to be done to ensure weeds do not grow on top of the fabric and in the holes around the trees. A simple walk along the row and picking out small weeds a few times a year can keep your site clear of weeds leaving more room for your trees to grow.

2010 Weed Barrier Fabric & Installation Price:

$45.00 per 100 linear feet

*PLEASE NOTE: there is a $250.00 minimum charge for all weed barrier services, in addition, the District now requires a deposit of 50% of the total cost be paid before fabric will be installed.

*Assignment of payments are recommended on all cost share installations.
