Emerald Ash Borer

Emerald Ash Borer has recently been found in Minnesota near St. Paul. To help protect our trees from the threat of Emerald Ash Borer, DO NOT TRANSPORT FIREWOOD.

Emerald Ash Borer is a non-native wood boring pest that poses a threat to all North American ash resources. Emerald Ash Borer attacks both healthy and dying trees and will survive in trees even after they have been processed as firewood. You can do your part to stop the artificial spread of this invasive pest by purchasing firewood at your camp site or at a nearby retailer.

*If you must move firewood for some reason remember, do not move it unless you can positively ID it as a species other than ash.

For more information on Emerald Ash Borer visit our Invasive Plants & Pests page.
