Throughout the year we have many different events and projects where volunteers are welcome and much needed. Take advantage of great opportunities to meet new people, gain valuable knowledge, and help conserve and restore our natural resources. We have events and projects both big and small suited for just one volunteer to large groups. Below are just a few of the many different events we seek help for each year as well as many others. If you’re interested in finding out ways in which you can get involved please check out our events section on our Facebook page where you can find all our current events and more details on all our volunteer opportunities, or feel free to contact our office.
Reforest the Red– A tree planting event! Volunteers are needed to plant trees/shrubs along the Red River to improve bank stability, water quality, and wildlife habitat. Short training sessions are provided.
Arbor Day Ceremony– A student focused tree planting event! Volunteers are needed to assist small groups of students from local schools in planting trees along the Red River.
Midwest Kid Fest– A local event jam packed full of fun activities for kids to come and have a great time! We look to have at least one volunteer for this event where we host a conservation booth with a fun activity for kids to do.
Do you have an event or project in mind you think we should know about? Please let us know, call our office or send us an email telling us about it! We are always looking for new and exciting events, projects, and partnerships to get involved in.
